If Buying procedure is made correctly STEP by STEP it should be made smoothly and without any headache for any party.

Buying procedure

Step 1: CHAMBER OF SHIPING, GULET SURWEY
When you decide which gulet you will buy we will go to the Chamber of Shipping, where gulet is registered.
The gulet experts will give us the assessment on gulet’s condition and value.

Step 2: AGREEMENTS, BILL OF SALE, NOTARY
Gulet Sale & Purchase Agreement will be signed by all parties’ buyer, seller and a broker.

The bill of sale or sales agreements can depend on the citizenship of buyer. We can either follow the order of buyer citizen, where his government orders agreement procedure are or we can do it by Turkish standards, which have been done generally.This is all done at notary. All parties will go there to arrange bill of sale and also all agreements are signed there to complete the sale and regitration process on the buyers name. When the bill of sale and agreements are completed in Turkish language, it will be translated by official translator to English language and signed by notary as a twin to a real contract.

3 pieces of document will be issuded to each companies, buyer, seller and customs and also broker gets the copy of al lthe documents.

Step 3: HARBOUR MASTER
We will summit an application to the Harbour Master; regarding the export of gulet to foreign country. Department of gulets will search the database if the gulet has any debt from the past. When the staff receives all the information about the gulet they delete the registration of gulet in Turkey.

The respond from harbour master will give us an order form which we have to deliver to the customs with all the info needed to make an export.

Step 4:
CUSTOMS
Customs will request us to clear all these documents:

  • A document that includes info about the seller stating he does not have any debt to revenue Office
  • Sales & Purchase agreement signed by all parties
  • Sales invoice (Bill of state)
  • Yacht specifications of all technical details
  • Report of value determination for gulet; how much does it cost
  • The document sent by Harbour Master that gulet has been deleted from Turkish registry and that it doesn’t have any problems for export.
  • Transit log, taken by harbour master from which harbour gulet will be exported.


The cost for customs is around 3000 – 5000 € (depending on the gulet), which is paid by buyer. A document will be given to you as a new owner by government of where the gulet will be registered. Authority brief will be given by owner to captain to bring the gulet from Turkey to another country.

Payment procedure
WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCEEDURE LIKE?

First the deposit payment of 10% has to be paid to Brokers account to secure the gulet after the purchase agreement was signed. This money is in Brokers hands, untill all the paper work, surveys and other birocracy is finished. If all is okey, the clients transfers the rest of the money deducted by the deposit payment to Owers account.
